Remodels

HVAC that fits the new floor plan, not the old one. Duct redesign for finished basements and additions, zoning for over-garage bonus rooms, and load-calc-driven equipment changes when the remodel changes the math.

What We Offer

Finished-basement HVAC

New supply and return runs for the finished space, load calc to confirm the existing furnace and AC can handle it, and zoning or a dedicated mini-split where they cannot.

Addition HVAC

New ducts, new zoning, or a dedicated mini-split for additions. Coordinated with your GC so the HVAC fits in the framing plan, not afterwards.

Ductwork revisions

Kitchen blow-outs, beam installs, and other remodels that require moving returns or supply runs. We redesign for proper static pressure and airflow.

Zoning retrofits

Modulating dampers, bypass-style zoning, or dedicated mini-splits for rooms that run hot or cold. Whichever solution actually fits the system.

GC coordination

We show up on the GC schedule for rough-in, come back for trim-out, and handle our own permits and inspections. One less thing for your builder to track.

Why It Matters Here

Ductwork that fits the new floor plan

A finished basement, a second-floor addition, or a kitchen-and-dining blow-out all change the heat-loss and airflow math of the house. We redesign ductwork and zoning as part of the remodel, not after the drywall is up. We work directly with your general contractor and handle our own permits.

HVAC Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about remodels in the Twin Cities metro. Don't see yours? Call us at 763-301-4829.

Almost always yes for additions and finished-basement projects, and often yes for kitchen blow-outs where returns get moved or ducts get in the way of new beams. We do a new load calculation for the remodeled space and lay out the duct and register changes.
Yes. Bypass-style zoning, modulating-dampers, and dedicated mini-splits are three different answers depending on the system. For an upper-floor bedroom addition that overheats in summer, a dedicated mini-split head is often cheaper and more comfortable than trying to rezone the main system.
We show up on the GC's schedule for rough-in (after framing, before insulation and drywall) and again for trim-out (after paint). We pull our own mechanical permits, handle inspections, and keep the GC posted on any framing constraints that affect our duct runs.
