Garage & Shed Heaters

Heat that actually keeps up in a detached Minnesota garage or workshop. Sized to the building, hardwired or gas-piped, permitted, and built for the temperature swings between 0° and whatever you want the shop to be.

What We Offer

Vented gas unit heaters

30,000 to 75,000 BTU natural-gas or propane unit heaters for insulated detached garages. Cheaper to run than electric in most cases.

240V electric garage heaters

Hardwired electric unit heaters for garages without gas access. Fast, safe, and no venting required.

Gas line, permit, and venting

Gas-line extension to the garage, mechanical permit, and combustion venting through the wall or roof. All permitted and inspected.

Dedicated electrical circuit

Subpanel extension or dedicated 240V circuit sized to the heater. Coordinated with our electrical side so there is one call, not two.

Why It Matters Here

Heat that actually keeps up in a detached garage

A 24x24 uninsulated detached garage in January loses heat faster than most portable heaters can replace it. We size and install hardwired electric or gas unit heaters, handle the gas line and venting, and pull the permit. No more $400 of propane bottles per winter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Rule of thumb: roughly 40 to 50 BTU per square foot for an insulated detached garage in Minnesota, 60 to 75 BTU per square foot for uninsulated. A 24x24 insulated garage typically wants a 30,000 to 40,000 BTU unit. We size to the actual square footage, insulation level, and how you use the space.
If a gas line is accessible, a vented gas unit heater is almost always cheaper to run and faster to warm up the space. If gas is not practical, modern 240V electric garage heaters do the job, and the operating cost is less painful if you are not heating continuously.
Yes in most Minnesota cities. Gas heaters require a mechanical permit and gas-line inspection. Electric heaters over a certain amperage require an electrical permit. We handle both.
